Why I Wrote Uplift: Energizing Educators’ Passion & Purpose Part V

Writing and publishing a book has been a lifelong dream of mine. As a pre-teen, who spent over three hours a day riding the school bus, I became captivated by the power of words and stories. When I finally got serious about writing this series for educators, I felt a deep sense of alignment and joy. Each word felt like a step toward fulfilling my purpose, not just as an educator but as a catalyst for change in the educational landscape.

As I reflect on my journey as an educator and now as an author, I find myself deeply motivated by a profound truth: legacy isn’t what you leave behind, but rather, what you leave in people. This idea resonates with me as I intentionally work to create a movement in education that inspires change and fosters a bright future, fueled by conscious choice, for both students and teachers.

With the publication of my book, I am not just sharing my insights and experiences; I am purposefully working to create a new reality for myself and for future generations of educators and students. This endeavor is about more than just personal achievement; it’s about sparking a movement that prioritizes energy and how it presents, leaving the landscape of education different from the conditions I navigated in the system.
